Alright, this make me laugh so hard. I love Nardwuar, he's been a familiar staple in my music life since I was like, 8 years old. I have such affection for him and his fucking fabulous questions and literally endless wells of music knowledge. I was watching Nardwuar vs. Nirvana in 1994 just now, and I though, whoa. Wouldn't it be hilarious if he did our Panic boys? So I looked it up and HE DID, HAHAHA, only it's even better because it's baby!Ryan and baby!Brendon, and I just... ahaha. I love it when people who don't get it are suddenly faced with Nardwuar. \m/

Even Brendon and Ryan are impressed, ahaha. Brendon's like, "whoa, you've really done your homework!" More like, he tries his hardest to ask about things he actually thinks are cool and worth knowing. WIN, NARDWUAR.

The Brendon cover of Blackbird is beautiful, he sings it so well, but I can't listen to it because his B string is slightly flat and it bothers me. I really am not that snotty, I'm not, there's just something about it that bugs me. Like the strange, random flat part of the guitar part in John Mayer's >Say (seriously, it exists!).

I'm going to the doctor today to see about the fact that I can not go out into the sun. I'm hoping he tells me it's temporary or curable or NOT AN ALLERGY. Perhaps I've got Cullen genes. Either way, it's NOT COOL TO BE ALLERGIC TO THE SUN, and I will tell my doctor this, should that be the result. NOT COOL, DOC. NOT COOL.

In this interview with Panic at the Disco (I really want to say 'with Brendon and Spencer', but I don't have to narrow it down like that anymore, because it's only them. It feels weird), Spencer is asked how the new version of Panic at the Disco will be different, and he says that they have more fun, that it's easier, and that "everybody's opinion matters and counts". So I guess Panic really was so Ryan's that, well. Only his opinions mattered. Or maybe nobody else wanted to mess with Ryan's vision before since it was so important to him, so even though Ryan never actually said, "hey, I'm the boss", everyone just kinda let him take the lead. What do you guys think, Ryan Ross: evil dictator?

Does Ryan think that if you put you embarrassing truths out into a public forum, but then switch the beginning letters with two of the words, then it's deep and no longer just emo? Like, "my life is going fowhere because I nailed to work hard enough in university". See, it's no longer sad, Ross. Now it's artsy. Honestly, "good think I'm musy or else I'd be biserable"? Aka, WHY THE FUCK AM I NOT TOURING WITH MARK HOPPUS, perhaps? I can understand, though, the dire need to do one thing, and then regretting it and being ecstatic that you did it all at the same time.

Also, re: Brendon covering "Fuck Her Gently", haha. I think Brendon's one of those guys who will be stuck in a perpetual college phase.

Where is the line between "pushover" and "laid back"? Someone told me today, "Virginia, you are the easiest person to get along with that I've ever met." And yeah, I like that, because I like people, and I have lots of friends. I try to steer clear of drama. I go with the flow. But, does that make me a pushover? Last night, in my cranky, angry state, I yelled at my band members about something that I wanted. Something I needed. And it wasn't me being a bitch, or a diva, even though I felt like it afterwards. It was something I never do. I let them dictate what I will play and when, and I just go with it, because I don't want to step on toes or be seen as difficult. I stood up for myself and then felt like shit, which is just not cool. I feel better about it now.

Question of the Day: what's better, to continue doing music for years and years and years like the Rolling Stones or Bruce Springsteen, or to die early and always be remembered as a legend? Is it better to burn out or fade away?

Does anyone have an mp3 of that Open Happiness song that Brendon is all over? I honestly love that guy, Brendon Urie. He's just so... I dunno, carefree. Roll-with-the-punches. And he and Spencer are both lookin' ridiculously good in these pictures from a recent M & G.

I watched 17 Again yesterday, and good lord, Zefron is looking gorgeous. Honestly, so fuckin' hot. And he knows it. Zac/Leslie is my favorite new ship.

New Perspective! (On Myspace.) Let's chat about it.

I'm not gonna lie: I like it. But where I wasn't sure if I liked the tunes on Pretty. Odd. because they were good or because they were by the Disco, I am sure I like New Perspective because it's by the Disco. If this song were by, like, Marianna's Trench, I probably would take or leave it. If it were by Fall Out Boy, I'd like it. It's all about the sentimental worth you give these types of pop-punk songs.

If this song weren't by Brendon and Spencer: I'd think it were cute. It'd make me happy to listen to it. But I would not recommend it to anyone who I didn't already know was a fan of the pop-punk genre.

I'm gonna blast it from my speakers and I'm gonna love it, I already love it. But my reasons aren't exactly all that honorable.

I'm psyched for the new album. Come onnnnn, guys.

ETA: Jon and Ryan are releasing new music today? Ugh, today is already wondrous. I love today.

SO, today I wore my "Ryan & Jon & Spencer & Brendon" shirt (sadface), and just for fun I used masking tape to tape off Ryan and Jon's names (SADFACE, I KNOW, WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF?). An 8 year old was reading it outloud at one point, and the "on" of "Brendon" was hidden behind my arm, and he was like, "Spencer and Brent", and I kinda did a double take and then laughed. Because, HAHA. Let's have that band, please. Spencer and Brent. Can you imagine?

This cracks me up so bad, If Twilight Was About Dragons. Seriously, if you need a good laugh, look no further.

I've been watching Dead Like Me season two for the first time, and it's like Grey's Anatomy in that it constantly makes me weep. Pretty much every single episode. George, ♥.

Other Things: playing a show tomorrow night. I am bored right now. It is Lamey McLamerson. Friday freakin' night. Come on, now.

So, hi there. It's been a few days. Some long, blissful days filled with sunshine and beaches and you know the drill. The forecast is looking stellar for today, too: 32°C today and 33°C tomorrow. I dunno what that is in wacky old Fahrenheit, but it's pretty warm.

All my buddies went on vacation. And by buddies, I mean coworkers. Because there are three of us that teach the kids (and then there is another person who watches the babies), and for the next two weeks, instead of three, there is just me. And so that means that some of the younger kids have to pretend to be babies, and the cook and the boss have to pretend to be teachers or something and then everything will be fine. I can feel my headache coming already.

Things I Love About Brendon Urie Include: his vibrato and his love for Sublime songs. Know what else is funny about him? The way he is the front man, and yet fandom likes to paint Brendon as the one the others all roll their eyes at. But he's the front man, so a billion people love him and just him, so he's just like, yeah, I'm ridiculous, and it's awesome. And then he like, dances in meet and greet videos and tattoos flowers onto his arms. NEVER STOP, BRENDON URIE. NEVER.
