Happy Black Friday and Thanksgiving and all that! I hope things are awesome.

This video, via karmicunderpath, raised some questions for me. Please help educate this clueless Canadian on the ways of your nation.



- you don't say "givin' 'er"?
- ... I know Kraft Dinner is not Canadian... it's in Home Alone!... right?
- you must have poutine... called something different, though?

It is bloody 11pm and it is still 21°C outside. What the hellllll. We're supposed to be in the Great White North, here. I'm sweating to death. IT'S THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. I thought I left the Caribbean in February.

(PS, those who are not Metric-wise, that's about 70°F.)

The stuff that Scott Moffatt released a few years ago is really, very good. It's solid. The City's Teeth, particularly. I'm sad that he didn't have the industry behind him like he once did, but I'd like to offer that if he'd been back here in Canada trying to do it, people would've been more receptive.

I have Wednesday off because it's Canada day (woot!), so it's kinda like two little mini-weeks of two days each. I can totally deal with that.

Also. The song American Woman amazes me. It's so anti-American! It's not even saying, like, oh, you awful woman, you are so bad for me, and yet I need you and love you. Nope, it's saying GET AWAY AND STAY AWAY FOREVER. In the cover Lenny Kravitz did, in the video, it's all like. Patriotic. He's singing in front of an American flag and the girl is driving a stars and stripes coloured car, and I'm just thinking... you realize this song is about Canadians hating on Americans, yeah?

It's ridiculous how many times I have actually used my arm as an ice scraper. And also, in America, do people at parties steal coats? Good lord, IS THERE NO DECENCY?!
