You are rebellious and ungrateful of my love.
I dug it pretty hard, you guys. ♥
Watching Star Trek for the first time. (In any form or era.)
Hmm...
Hmm...
I went to see Disney's A Christmas Carol last night (in 3-D, yo!). I'm kinda... really in love with all versions of this story, it's one of my favorites, so I have a bit to say...
( and for Tiny Tim... who did NOT die! )

THIS SHIT GETS IT'S OWN POST, FOR SERIOUS.
I can't even deal with the awesomeness that this actually exists. I've been so skeptical of it.

Does anyone have an mp3 of that Open Happiness song that Brendon is all over? I honestly love that guy, Brendon Urie. He's just so... I dunno, carefree. Roll-with-the-punches. And he and Spencer are both lookin' ridiculously good in these pictures from a recent M & G.
I watched 17 Again yesterday, and good lord, Zefron is looking gorgeous. Honestly, so fuckin' hot. And he knows it. Zac/Leslie is my favorite new ship.

ETA: I am gonna punch my brother in the face because he never came back with Polly. He promised to have her back by nine. I was planning on falling asleep with her tonight.
New Billy/Dom! Old school OTP of my heart. Also, Dominic is wearing a shirt that I very much approve of.
Three stories from the last 24 hours, at the concert and staying at Chris and Andy's place, and only one is not true:
1. Chris woke up to find a half-naked lesbian sleeping on his couch. One whom he did not know, and when he woke her up and asked who she was, she said, in this order: "Where's Jordan? Where are my pants?" And then left the houes.
2. Andy got held-up at gun point and they took his laptop while he was sitting on his front porch. It was a paintball gun.
3. We started a band that just plays covers of Kansas songs, and Joe Satriani told us he would be in it.
You have to guess which one is not true.
The show itself was mostly great, Sloan were awesome, very entertaining, as Chris Murphy had a broken collarbone from being hit by a car while driving his bike and couldn't play guitar or bass, they had people filling in from the area (their hometown, is Halifax). He could only shake a tambourine. He also punched and kicked a lot of mic stands. Finger Eleven always put on a good show, I'm surprised I had forgotten. I had bought one of their cds a few years ago (four, five years ago?) after seeing them live, because they were so great, and then I kinda... forgot, because they had an strange type of image that I'm not usually into. But again, I was surprised, and feel like I should start listening to that one cd again. Our Lady Peace were great, musically, Raine was pretty on (comparatively) vocals-wise, and the band nailed it as usual, especially Steve, who I really very much enjoy looking at. Raine was a little moody (what the fuck else is new?), so he didn't say too much, and he climbed the stage like usual and jumped into the beer gardens area to run around while singing Starseed. They only played four or five new songs, which was good, because everyone was there (and will always be there) for the classics. Chickenfoot were good for what they were. Each part was great (especially Chad Smith, and Sammy Hagar can still sing), and they sounded perfect. That being said, we left about halfway in because we'd pretty much gotten the point.
I'm off to watch "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". Is this a good movie, or no? I've never seen it.

( Why I absolutely LOATHED the 'Dead Like Me' movie, Life After Death. )
I don't know if I've ever been more upset about a film. I guess this is why people don't make movies after canceled shows. I have no idea what went wrong, here. I just... something really, really did.
Actually, I'm beginning to think I missed something. Like, this movie's entire point. Is there something I'm not seeing, something I didn't get?

So like, it's really, really happening? I had no idea, wtf. Where have I been? I guess I've just been brushing aside all rumours/speculation of a sequel for the last five year or so, so I assumed everything was just more of the same. But, like, even if it's late...

I am very picky about women stars. I guess it's just the catty, girly side of my own coming out, but I tend to judge girls in showbiz quickly and more absolutely.
Firstly, to get the negative out of the way, someone that I really don't like is Megan Fox. Here are three examples why:
1. "[Robert Pattinson] and Zac [Efron] — they're just too pretty, with the big hair and the suits. And Rob is, what, 22? Zac is 21? That's a joke." Which she then follows up with saying that guys her age, which is 23, mind you, are “immature” and “have nothing to offer conversationally.” I know 17 year olds who have more to offer "conversationally" than this girl, if she's that closed-minded.
2. "Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands. She’s mesmerizing." What? Who says that?!
3. “I don’t want to have to be like a Scarlett Johansson — who I have nothing against — but I don’t want to have to go on talk shows and pull out every single SAT word I’ve ever learned to prove, like, ‘Take me seriously, I am intelligent, I can speak.’ I don’t want… to do that.” I am no Scarlett lover (her diss on Patrick Stump just put me right off her), but compared to Megan Fox, I'd take her in a heartbeat. Sounds like someone's jealous, Megan.
Usually I would be content to ignore this Megan Fox girl and pretend she doesn't exist. But the problem (besides the fact that Transformers is the coolest shit evah) is that she's fuckin' everywhere. She's all over every magazine ever, saying the stupidest things, and I just want to kick her.
Anyhow, there are very few girl actresses that I actually, genuinely love. And they are as follows:
1. Blake Lively

Because: she's beautiful, but she's honestly, surprisingly, just the most normal girl I've seen on television. She's hasn't let one ounce of fame go to her head. She loves her family and cares about her friends, and she acts because it's fun and a living and she doesn't lie about it. And she absolutely does not put up with bullshit.
"I grew up with the mindset that when you get home from work, you go to dinner and watch a movie. I don't want to be going to a club and taking off my panties."
"I'm a klutz. Every dance I've ever gone to my date waits at the bottom of my stairs as I walk down. I have not gone to one dance that I have not fallen down the stairs."
2. Kristen Bell

Because: she's hilarious. She's the girl that every guy wants to hang out with. She went from a huge cult-series like VMars to Forgetting Sarah Marshall with absolutely no trouble at all. She fit in with the Apatow crowd. And most importantly, she's the geekiest celebrity out there. She's the most gorgeous dork I can think of.
"I've got more junk in the trunk than most 5-foot-1 blonde girls, and I like it."
"I can rock out anything. I mean, I can rock out a little Time After Time. I can do a little Grease Lightning. It depends on the mood, but we do go karaoke, my friends and I in Los Angeles, and it's a lot of fun."
"I'm not homely enough to play the nerdy girl and not nearly pretty enough to play the pretty girl."
To witness some of her adorable dorkery, see this video.
Also, I couldn't choose a picture of her, she's so gorgeous. Here are some more.
... yeah, there are only two. I told ya, it's a short list. I know there are at least a few more, but they seem to have momentarily slipped my mind. Rachel McAdams and Katherine Heigel come so close to making this list, but I can't quite bring myself to put them there. It's like, I haven't seen enough evidence, haha.

Hey, nobody told me that dazzling ole' Edward Cullen was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Anyways, I liked that a lot. More X movies now, please. Dom to not be dying. Ryan Reynolds should never not talk. Guh, Taylor.
Transformers trailer! SHINY. LOVE. SHIA!STFU Megan Fox.

Today I watched The Departed for the billionth time. Still amazing. So much fabulous dialogue. "I don't want to be a product of my environment. I want my environment to be a product of me." Jack Nicholson is so A++++++++++++ in this movie.
I am sitting here having to re-convince myself every ten minutes not to drive to the corner store and buy some junk food. I need support!

I'm spending the night at the father's place. Once again, I reiterate about the coziness and the comfort thing that are present at my Dad's that can't be found at my mother's place.
- stocked fridge vs. maybe some cereal
- clean floors vs. floors covered in clothing, cds and dirt tracked in from the street*
- doting father who likes to spoil his little girl vs. mother who knows me too well
- constant good music (currently Sly and the Family Stone's Stand!) vs. "Ginny, turn that down!"
- Mikey and Gollum (my cats) and Jack and Molly (the dogs) vs. Pea, Mom's Furby.
* very crucial to a girl who likes to lay on floors constantly
The movie Elizabethtown is very underrated by it's target audience. Not by critics, because I mean, a Crowe movie is what it is, but by fans. Were the expectations just too high? I dunno, but I love it all, from Orlando's accent (totally works for him!) to Susan's general presence in the movie, And especially, the random Almost Famous references.

My dad just refuses to watch The Dark Knight. He loves action movies, he loves comic books movies, and yet. We sat here for twenty minutes trying to pick a movie to watch now, and he just skipped over it a million times. Ugh, frustrating.
(We decided on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Shiaaaaaaaaaaa.)
ETA: and then he changed his mind again, and we are watching... get this... The Devil Wears Prada. Hahahaha, wtf father.)

The last few days have been... I dunno. Weird? They kinda flew by. Today, I have been on this ship for one whole month. That seems like a long time. It means I'm 1/5 done my contract. These are good things. I can't believe I stuck it out this long.
My friend Sandi and I got off the ship today in Jersey and went to see a movie. A MOVIE! HOW DIFFERENT AND INTERESTING. Honestly, it was amazing. We saw Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, which I love love loved, but I probably would have loved fracking Space Chimps if it meant I could sit in a theatre and eat movie popcorn and put my feet on SOLID LAND. Nah, it was good. I want the soundtrack, but that's probably not surprising. It was funny in all the right places. Many weird cameos-type appearances. Very adorable. Oh, movies, how I miss you.
I also found out how to hook my laptop to the internet, though it's 36 cents a minute and 12 cents a minute after 11pm. I can now upload some pictures. Last cruise we had one kid, so it was somewhat of a vacation. This cruise, we have 267 kids. It's insane, but they tell me that usually we have 800 kids, so I'm not really knowing what to think.
Can everyone give me their mailing addresses? And I mean everyone? I want to send postcards at some point, and I realized I don't have mailing addresses. :)
Also: I made everyone on my staff watch Flight of the Conchords with me. They were unimpressed, I wanted to punch them. It was so hilarious, too, and they happened to be playnig it on our channels.
