Tday at work, the kids made "Go Germany Go" signs and taped them up all over the wall. It doesn't matter that one said "Go Germy!" or that one had yellow on the top of the flag.

I honestly could live in a hotel all my life. Probably not a hotel in Newfoundland, but one somewhere. I made friends with the maids today. It was the third time this week she came to my room to do her thang and I politely declined. She convinced me to let her come in and make the beds and give me new towels, and we chatted a bit. I'm sure she was dying to ask me why I've been holed up in a hotel all week, but we just talked about the weather.

Speaking of Ryan Ross, and I totally was before, see? The entire reason I have this icon is because of 1) the colouring and 2) the guitarrrrrrrrrr ♥. If it had those two things and anyone else in it, I would probably still have uploaded it. Unless it was like, I dunno. That Heidi girl from the Hills or Amy Lee.

I hear the common thing for a RockStar(tm) to do the day/night before the show is to get wasted, possibly overdose on too much heroin, pass out in a nightclub bathroom somewhere, get woken up when you're late for soundcheck on the day of by the ringtone you installed for your promoter on your cell phone and you simultaneously decide that you a)HATE THAT SONG and b) are never drinking again.

Instead of doing that, I have started to watch Friday Night Lights. Go figure, eh?

The funny thing about this is that besides my show tomorrow, I'm also going to our town's season opener against MacNaughton. Football here is probably not as big a deal as it is in Texas, but our team does a pretty good job of taking it seriously. Here's the homepage, in case you're interested. Two of my brothers play (Jamie's center, Max plays lb). Watching this show has kind of made me glad we're not as hardcore as that. Yesterday, I helped line the field and then had lunch with my parents and the team's headcoach (who happens to be my uncle, ha) and discussed whether the rumour that MacNaughton has been having double practices in the mornings before school is true, or just a rumour circulated to freak the Titans out. Anyways. On with this.
